RBPF Officers To Attend Interpol General Assembly In Berlin

Bandar Seri Begawan - Five senior officers from the Royal Brunei Police Force led by Commissioner of Police Pehin Dato Paduka Seri Zainuddin bin Jalani left for Berlin, Germany last Wednesday night to attend the 74th General Assembly of Interpol in Berlin, Germany.

The delegation comprises SAC Peng Eng Lee, Director of Crime Investigation, Pg Salleh bin Pg Chuchu, OCPD of Tutong Police Station, DSP Amiruddin bin Hj Junaidi, Acting Head of Police Commissioner Secretariat, and Senior Inspector Pg Muhaimin bin Pg Hj Mustapha.

Among the matters to be discussed at the general assembly are issues related to international crimes. Focus will also be made on International Security in terms of Interpol's efforts in its fight against global terrorism.

Apart from attending the General Assembly, the delegation will also make a working visit to the Berlin Police Force, with the aim of having a closer look at the types of duties implemented by the Police Force whilst also fostering bilateral rapport between the two Forces. The delegation is expected to arrive in the country on September 26.

The 75th Interpol General Assembly is expected to be held next year in Morocco.

On hand to bid farewell to the delegation at the Brunei International Airport was the Acting Commissioner of Police, Dato Paduka Hj Ghani bin Omar and other Senior Police Officers.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
