Brunei, Singapore Ministers Discuss Cooperation In Heritage Conservation

Singapore - Brunei's Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports discussed Thursday the prospect of cooperation in heritage conservation training with his Singapore counterpart.

YB Pehin Major General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Awg Hj Mohammad bin Hj Daud, the Brunei Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, is visiting the city-state until September 18 at the invitation of Lee Boon Yang, the Singapore Minister of Information, Communication and the Arts.

"The two discussed possible areas of collaboration in culture, library services and heritage," said a government statement.

"Singapore and Brunei would also collaborate on various projects on the Asean platform, it added.

Pehin Maj Gen (Rtd) Mohammad will also be visiting the Esplanade Theatres, Asian Civilisations Museum, the new National Library and the Malay Heritage Centre. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
