Sultan Attends Luncheon, Holds Bilateral Meetings

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam attended' the opening session of the United Nations High-Level Plenary Meeting at the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations Headquarters in New York Wednesday.

His Majesty was accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, RTB reported.

In the afternoon, His Majesty and other world leaders attended an official luncheon hosted by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan.

His Majesty also held bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the - Plenary Meeting with Philippine President Gloria MacapagalArroyo and President of Mongolia Nambar Enkhbayar.

Later in the afternoon His Majesty held a four-eye meeting with His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
