DCA: Kite flyers face $3,000 fine

The Civil Aviation Department has warned the Brunei public against flying kites in restricted places like aircraft landing and take-off areas, RTB reported last night. Members of the public who fly kites in restricted zones are liable to a fine of up to $3,000, the report said.

Flying kites near the restricted areas could prove hazardous to aircraft flying, landing and taking off, the Civil Aviation said, the report went on.
