PPPMB to hold tahlil ceremony

Taking advantage of Syaaban, a month in Islamic calendar before the arrival of the fasting month of Ramadhan, members of a local business federation will be gathering at a restaurant in Beribi for a tahlil ceremony on September 24 at 7.30pm.

Pg Shahminan Pg Hj Ismail, the Deputy President (Administration) of Persekutuan Peniaga-Peniaga Melayu Brunei (PPPMB), said the gathering will be held at Restaurant Ilmi, Scouts Commercial Complex in Beribi.

"Syaaban is a holy month where religious activities are encouraged to be conducted more often in order to greet the arrival of Ramadhan, a month of religious devotions and self-restraint through fasting and praying," Pg Shahminan said.

"In order to be ready for Ramadhan, all members are invited to gather at the venue towards cooperation and exchanges of ideas and concepts to develop more peaceful relationships based on mutual understanding.

"Business dialogue in a religious atmosphere is the best option in order for members to recognise, listen and respect one another," he added.
