Minister o Culture, Youth and Sports visits Singapore

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in a press release announced yesterday that the Minister' of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pehin Major General (R) Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Haj i Daud and delegates are visiting Singapore from September 12 till 18.

The visit is by invitation from Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore Minister of Community Development, Youth and Sport and Dr Lee Boon Yang, Singapore Minister of Information, Communication and Arts.

Pehin Major General (R) Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Haji Daud left Brunei yesterday.

During that visit, the Brunei minister will make a courtesy call to Dr Vivian Balakrishnan and Dr Lee Boon Yang.

Amongst the places the Brunei minister will be visiting in Singapore are the National Youth Council, Singapore Sports School, Asia Civilisation Museum, Malay Heritage Centre, National Library and The Esplanade.

The objectives of his visit are amongst others to strengthen the link of friendship between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore and to raise cooperation on cultural, arts, youth and community development. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
