12 Foreign Workers Held

Bandar Seri Begawan - Department of Immigration and National Registration enforcers nabbed 12 foreign workers on Friday and issued special passes to eight others.

The operation targetted seven locations in Brunei-Muara District. Friday's operation targetted housing construction sites in Mukim Sengkurong and car workshops in Mukim Sengkurong and Mukim Berakas.

Four workers have been confirmed working. illegally in the country. A Malaysian man had no entry pass chop and was caught without a document.

An Indonesian and a Filipino were found to have no valid documents.

Another Filipino, who has a work pass with another company, was caught working in a car workshop in Kg Delima Satu.

Eight other foreign workers are still under investigation for working illegally in the country. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
