Beruda Minister Visiting Brunei

Begawan - The Minister of Community Affairs and Sports from the
Government of Bermuda, Dale Butler yesterday arrived for a three-day
visit.
The Minister paid a courtesy call to
the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pehin Major General (Rtd)
Dato-Seri Pahlawan Awang Hj Mohammad bin Hj Daud.
During the call, both ministers
discussed ways of enhancing cooperation on related matters between the
two parties, RTB reported
The itinerary for the minister's
visit includes a boat trip on Kampong Ayer, a visit to dame Asr
Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, Bumbungan Dua Belas (Old British Residency),
and Brunei Malay Technology Museum.
A luncheon was hosted by the British
High Commissioner at the Portview Restaurant in the capital and dinner
was hosted by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The Bermuda minister will experience
the natural wonders of the tropical rainforest when he will be brought
to visitt the Ulu Temburong National Park and Outward Bound Brunei
Darussalam.
Tomorrow, Mr Dale Butler is set to
tour the Yayasan SIIB shopping complex and The Mall in Gadong and
visit the Royal Regalia Museum. He will depart Brunei Darussalam in
the evening.
Bermuda, the second most remote
island in the world, 900 km east of North Carolina, USA, has a
27-sq.-mile area. It is home to 67,000 people and is made up of 138
coral islands and islets. It is a stable, intelligently run island
with a highly sophisticated infrastructure. --
