Cadet Schools In Annual Camping &
Parade Competition

Begawan - The 26th Annual Camping and Parade Competition for
Secondary School and Colleges Police Cadets throughout the country was
officially launched yesterday at Taman Mini Perayaan Kampung Parit, in
Mukim Pengkalan Batu.
Present to officiate the event was
the guest -of honour Dato Paduka Hj Ghani bin Omar, Acting
Commissioner of Police.
Five-hundred school cadets from 27
secondary schools and colleges, consisting of both boys and girls as
well as teachers, participated in the five-day event.
During the guest of honour's speech,
he hoped that all participating students can gain meaningful
experience and new ideas during the programme.
He also hoped that they can upgrade
their disciplines, dedication and self-confident when carrying out the
activities.
Earlier on, Supt. Hj Mohammad Don,
the Commandant of the Police Training Centre, said that the programme
is part of the School Police Cadets' annual project and is aimed for
students to foster closer ties with other teams.
He also added that the respond from
the students toward the programme is very encouraging, which intend to
enhance the students' creativity and teamwork spirits.
Meanwhile, Chung Ching Secondary
School, Seria emerged as champion in the Parade competition from six
other secondary schools. Second place went to STPRI and was followed
by Sayyidina Hassan Secondary School, Bunut.
The Best Cadets 2005, for boys and
girls, was won by Chung Ching Secondary School, Seria and STPRI
respectively.
The prizes were presented by Dato
Paduka Hj Ghani. The event is scheduled to end on September 13. --
