Members Of Media Tour Binturan
Shooting Range

Begawan - The 15th Asean Armies Rifle Meet (AARM) continued
into its third day yesterday at the Binturan Shooting Range. It is
participated by armies from 10 countries, comprising Brunei, Malaysia,
Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippinps, Laos, Vietnam,
Cambodia and Myanmar.
Members of the media went on a rare
and special tour, guided by Lt Col Ramli Hj Abd Hadis, around
Binturan's vast shooting ranges, including a number of its shooting
fields and facilities.
This year marks the Sultanate's third
time of hosting the event and Lt Col Ramli explained that it coincides
with the Brunei International Skills-At-Arms Meet (BISAM).2005 that
will be held after the 15th AARM ends.
The event was officially launched
Monday by the Chief of Royal Brunei Land Forces, Lt Col Hj Harith Hj
Abd Karim. Prizes were also presented yesterday to several winners of
its previous intermediate challenges by Lt Col (U) Hj Hamid Nayan, the
Working Committee's Co-Chairman. --
