Exposing Graduates To
Entrepreneurial World

Begawan - The Entrepreneurship Development Unit (EDU),
Universiti Brunei Darussalam will be holding its 2nd GET Up programme
from September 17 to 20.
Supported by the university's Student
Affairs Section, the programme is designed to provide an overview on
the entrepreneurial world, and expose participants to the challenges,
benefits as well as the risks associated with entrepreneurship.
Upon completion of the GET-Up
Programme, participants will then be able to join the follow-up
programme entitled "GET Started" that will be held from October 3 to
15.
The GET Started programme will focus
more on the technical aspects of entrepreneurship that include the
legal aspects of business, financial management, managing banking
facilities, marketing, sales management and logistic management.
These two programmes are part of a
series of training whereby more follow-up programmes are currently in
the planning stage, such as GET Going, GET Growing and GET On.
All programmes by the EDU are
designed to instil the dynamic spirit and practical knowledge for the
participants, whilst ensuring maximum acquirement of munderstanding
and skills. Furthermore, the trainers conducting the EDU programmes
possess the industrial and hands-on experience to ensure the provision
of quality training in entrepreneurship and business.
The GET-Up and GET-Started programmes
are open to all former UBD graduates, regardless of which year they
had graduated in. EDU welcomes and encourages those UBD graduates who
are currently unemployed or working temporarily to join the programme.
According to the Coordinator of EDU,
Awang Muhammad Saifullah DP Hj Mustajab, all programmes are carefully
designed by EDU aimed towards bringing out the best in participants.
He added, "Entrepreneurship knowledge and skills are about personality
development and dynamic lifestyle.
Its relevancy is not only for
starting a business, but to equip participants with the ability to
become dynamic members of any organisation, especially corporate
organisations."
