Local Man To Be Brought To Court Over Firearms Possession

Bandar Seri Begawan - A local man who was arrested by the Police for being in possession of homemade firearms will be brought to court.

The 39-year-old man was arrested by the Special Unit of the Royal Brunei Police Force during a raid at a house in the Brunei-Muara District on September 5.

In the operation, the Police seized a complete set of homemade firearms, 36 bullets and equipment used to clean the firearms.

Police also found equipment used for consuming drugs. The man who worked as a security guard at a private sector company was a local and not a Permanent Resident as reported on Wednesday, 7th September 2005. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
