Kg Lumapas Sports Festival Draws Large Crowds

Bandar Seri Begawan - Over 900 people Sunday gathered at the Lumapas Primary School for a sports festival held in conjunction with His Majesty's 59th birthday celebrations. It was jointly organised by Persatuan Belia Lumapas (PERLU) as well as the residents of Kg Lumapas `A' and `B' with cooperation from the Youth and Sports Department.

Present as guest of honour was Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Awang Hj Jemat bin Hj Ampal and his wife.

Although it was a hot day, members of the public still thronged to the school premises to see various sports being competed including the tug-of-war finals, netball competitions, women's football and husband-wife golf.

Besides the bazaar and paramotor show, there were also bouncers and a `Ghost House' for the kids.
