Winner O PSR Quiz Anal For Brunei III Zone

Bandar Seri Begawan - Pengiran Pekerma Setia Diraja Sahibul Bandar Primary School emerged as champion in the final round of the PSR Quiz 2005 for the Brunei III zone. Fifteen primary schools from the zone competed in the finals yesterday.

Bengkurong Primary School came in the second place while Kiarong Primary School got the third prize.

Present as guest of honour at the function was Cikgu Hj Awg Said bin Hj Awg Yussof, Primary School Senior Supervisor for Brunei I and III Zone.

Also in attendance was Cikgu Abd Rahim bin Hj Budin, Headmaster of Pengiran Pekenna Setia Diraja Sahibul Bandar Primary School, which hosted the quiz, as well as officers from the Department of Co-Curriculum Education, headmasters and teachers.

CikguAbd Rahim, who was also the chairman of the event, said that among the objectives of the quiz contest were to assist students in revising for their upcoming PSR examinations, develop students' self-confidence during competitions, test students' thinking skills when given a limited amount of time and to encourage teamwork.

The quiz also hoped to enhance understanding and relations between students and teachers.

At the function, the guest of honour presented prizes to the winners, which was followed by a doa selamat.
