Inforama Showcase Comes To Close After Successful Rug

Bandar Seri Begawan - The five-day Inforama Showcase 2005 that carried a theme of "Enhancing Potentialities and Productivity Through ICT" came to a close yesterday at The Mall in Gadong.

An annual exhibition organised by the Ministry of Education, it attracted a large number of visitors, especially students who joined in its activities and competitions.

Invited vendors also offered the latest technologies and products at attractive discounts, including computers and printers among others.

Members of the public also had an opportunity to witness its ICT Radio Show.

Sayyidina Othman Secondary School hosted this year's event in partnership with BSP as well as support from IBB and JTB.

The programme aimed to provide community members with basic knowledge on ICT and familiariseyouths with the subject, as it has been included in the educational curriculum.

The Chairman of Inforama Showcase 2005, Hj Sabli Hj Mumin, also said that it would not have been a success without such strong support and close cooperation from the organising committee. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
