By James Sim

Students' projects on display.
About 100 Primary 5 and 6 pupils from
Chung Ching Middle School (CCMS) recently took part in a Science Camp
held at the Secondary Section of the school and the Oil and Gas
Discovery Centre (OGDC) in Seria. The main objective was to develop
students' interest in science.
Students had the opportunity to
present a skit about the life cycles of different animals, make
fossils, and recycle various things such as egg trays and coconut
husks.
OGDC
staff also prepared an activity for the students, where they were
required to build a model of an oil rig using newspapers.
Earlier, the school held a Science
Quiz, which was participated by 15 students from Primary 4, 5 and 6.
The winners were Melvin Chua Yien Thai, Martin Manggau Ak Ayum and Yeo
Lip Yi.
Students' projects were also put on
display at the Primary School lobby. Among the creative projects were
'PSR On Board', recycling products such as Easi Cards and tin cans,
fossil displays, bottle organs and a mini observatory.
