Dozens of art lovers are making their
way to the Alliance Francaise in Kg Telanai to catch a glimpse of the
artworks created by two respected artists from Brunei, Pg Kamarulzaman
and Osman Mohammad.
The duo's exhibition opened last
Friday, drawing in crowds that included foreign dignitaries such as
First Secretary of the French Embassy Mr Arnaud Rayar. Also present at
the launching was Miss Melanie Caulomb, the new director of Alliance
Francaise, as well as other local artists.
On display are 15 art pieces - seven
created by Pg Kamarulzaman and the remaining eight by Osman Mohammad.
Pg Kamarulzaman is showcasing
'Morning in January', 'The Great Barracuda', 'Silhouette at Balaton
Lake,' 'Fern 1', 'Fern 2 El Matador' and 'Spirit of Budapest'. Osman
Mohammad has put on show 'Windows', 'Exhilarations', 'Celebrations
Sketchbook: Landmark', 'Gala', 'Horizon at the East', 'Vegetation' and
'Waves'.
The pair are showcasing different art
forms with Pg Kamarulzaman employing more emphasis on yellowish and
brown colours, while Osman Mohammad has applied bright colours to his
work.
Members of the public can check out
the eye-catching exhibition at the Alliance Francaise in Simpang
130-15, Kg Telanai until September 30, 2005.
