Comical Storytelling Performance To Be Held From September 6

Bandar Seri Begawan - Rakugo, or a comical Japanese storytelling performance, will soon be presented to the public in English.

Four of its members will be equipped with musical instruments and traditional costumes to give the show added ambience.

This type of performing arts uses facial expressions, impersonations and acting among other skills.

The opening ceremony from 7.30pm on September 6 at Centrepoint Hotel's Goldstone Ballroom is only going to be for invited guests.

However, the show will be open to all on September 7, when a matinee is also planned at the same venue from 2.3opm, in addition to the evening performance.

The featured ensemble has been performing in Europe, North America, Oceania and Asia. Their tour will take them to Malaysia and India after Brunei Darussalam. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
