Karatedo Members Get New Belts

Bandar Seri Begawan - About 90 local karate practitioners attended a certificates presentation and belt rank promotions ceremony held at Sekolah Latihan Utama Karate, X19, Jalan Maulana in KB. BRUKAF's (Persekutuan-Karatedo Brunei Darussalam) President Pg Hj Kesteria Pg Hj Mohd Yusof was the guest of honour who presented successful recipients with their respective belts.

Three members got the first grade black belt and another 28 received certificates for best performance.

Also in attendance was Dr Hj Harun Mokti, the Chairman of Field Performances for His Majesty's 59th Birthday celebration in Belait. He also gave certificates of appreciation to the event's 110 participants.

During his speech, he congratulated all members for their commitment and dedication.

Tests were recently organised by Kuala Belait's Head of Karatedo Organisation, Hj Malai Mohammed Hj Malai Othman, as well as other senior instructors. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
