4WD Expedition In Kuala Belait

Over 100 participants of the 4WD Independence Road Adventure 11
Convoy Expedition from Indonesia arrived in Kampong Pandan, Kuala
Belait yesterday and were met by the Belait District Adventure
Association.
The entourage is on its way back to
Indonesia after arriving in Bandar Seri Begawan on August 31.
The Java Adventure participants are
led by Bapak Harry Sanusi, the organiser. He had participants from
Brunei, Sabah, Sarawak convoying more than 4,600 kilometers through
Jawa, Bali, Kalimantan, Brunei and finally Malaysia.
The Deputy President of the Belait
District Adventure Association, Awang Haji Yahya bin Hj Abd Rahman,
said six 4WD vehicles from the Belait District joined 19 4WD vehicles
nationwide involving 60 participants.
They left BSB began on August 13 for
Kuching, Pontianak and then Jakarta by ferry on August 17. The journey
took 30 hours.
From Jakarta, they made stopovers at
several main towns in Java, continued from Bali to Surabaya and
ferried to Banjarmasin before passing by Balikpapan, Samarinda and
straight to the Sabah border on August 30.
They continued their journey to
Temburong and arrived in the capital the next day with Indonesian, and
Malaysian adventurers. --
