BIMP-EAGA Expo To Include Participants From Beyond Region

Bandar Seri Begawan - The BIMP-EAGA Trade and Tourism Expo which will be held at The Mall in Gadong from Sept 19 to 23 will feature quality products and services not only from the sub-grouping economies but also from the Australian Northern Territory, Middle East and Germany.

Organiser Transpower Group stated that the event would serve as a meeting place for entrepreneurs as traders would be converging under one roof to talk about their products and services.

Group chairman Hj Ismail Hj Damit said the expo shall occupy two floors of The Mall where the fourth floor will be used for government pavilions and booths of non-government organisations.

"The booths at the Atrium Concourse or the ground floor of The Mall will be occupied by traders from Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines as well as international traders from as far as the Middle East.

"Traders from the Northern Territory of Australia have indicated their interest to participate by mentioning it to the Australian High Commission here," he said.

He said GTZ from Germany - providers of technical assistance to BIMP-EAGA - also expressed interest to participate in the event.

"For Brunei Darussalam, the Trade Promotion Department of the Ministry of Industry of Primary Resources will be the focal point where Jerudong Park Medical Centre will be one of the prominent exhibitors," he said. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
