Vietnam's 60th National Day Celebrated In Brunei

Bandar Seri Begawan - The 60th Anniversary of the National Day of Vietnam was celebrated in the Sultanate yesterday evening at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas.

Present as the guest of honour was Pehin Dato Seri Paduka Hj Awg Yahya, Minister of Energy at the Prime Minister's Office.

The highlight of the event was the cutting of the National Day cake - after the singing of both countries' national anthems -signifying the momentous occasion, by the guest of honour and the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Brunei Darussalam, Mr Ha Hong Hai.

Among the distinguished guests at the event were senior officials from the government and private sectors as well as foreign dignitaries. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
