IBB Officers Attend Workshop On Syariah And Islamic Financial Planning

Bandar Seri Begawan - Some 12 officers from the Islamic Bank of Brunei Bhd (IBB) attended a three-day workshop entitled `Islamic Financial Planning Certificate' held at the IBB premises in the capital.

Organised by HIJRAH Strategic Advisory Group Sdn Bhd and HCB Consultancy Services, the workshop aimed at enhancing participants' understanding and knowledge on both the fundamentals of Syariah and Islamic financial planning.

At the end of the workshop, participants had acquired substantial basic skills and competency in developing an Islamic financial planning programme for their clients and differentiate between the conventional and Islamic financial planning.

Discussions were also held during the course of the programme to discuss the history and development of Islamic financial planning at the global level.

In an interview with some of the participants, they said that the workshop had benefited them substantially as they now have a greater understanding of wealth generation, management and distribution from the Islamic perspective, as the course also covered the fundamentals of both the Syariah and Islamic financial planning. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
