Congratulatory Messages To Vietnam
On Occasion Of National Day

Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei
Darussalam yesterday consented to send congratulatory messages to Mr
Tran Duc Luong, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Mr
Phan Van Khai, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on
the occasion of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
In his message, His Majesty expressed
his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations and deep
understanding that had so long been established between Brunei
Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
His Majesty hoped that this would-be
maintained and enhanced in the future for the good of the two
countries and people.
His Majesty also hoped that Mr Tran
Duc Luong, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam would always
remain in good health and happiness and for the people of the
Socialist Republic of Vietnam to always enjoy continued progress and
prosperity.
At the same time, in a similar
congratulatory message to Mr Phan Van Khai, Prime Minister of the
Socialist Republic of Vietnam, His Majesty congratulated the premier
and the government and people of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on
the occasion of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
His Majesty expressed his
satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations that had long been
established between the two countries.
His Majesty also expressed his wish
that this will be maintained and enhanced in the future for the mutual
benefit of the two countries and peoples. His Majesty also wished the
premier his continued good health and happiness and for the prosperity
of the people of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Meanwhile His Royal Highness, Prince
Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a
congratulatory message on the occasion of the Independence Day of the
Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Nguyen Dy Nien, Minister of Foreign
Affairs, Vietnam.
In his message, His Royal Highness
sent warmest congratulations to the Vietnamese Foreign Minister and
the government and people of Vietnam on their Independence Day.
His Royal Highness stated that he was
very pleased with the friendship and cooperation that have developed
between the two countries over the years and His Royal Highness looks
forward to continuing their work together both bilaterally and as
regional partners.
His Royal Highness also expressed his
best wishes and kindest regards. --
