The "Istiadat Pengantin DiRaja Muleh
Tiga Hari" for His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Pg Muda Haji

Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah was held last night at the Balai
Singgahsana Indera Buana of the Istana Nurul Iman.
It was the last in a series of
traditional ceremonies that began on August 24 with the "Bersuruh"
and reached the climax with the `Bersanding" ceremony on September
9.
Gracing the royal event were His
Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, Datin Hjh Faizah and
other members of the royal family. Soon after the arrival of HRH
Prince Hj Sufri Bolkiah, four Awang-Awang lit up the "dian empat"
and another two brought "Kasur and Namat" which they placed at the
designated place.
Pehin
Orang Kaya DiGadong Seri Lela Dato Seri Paduka (Dr.) Hj Awg
Hussain then informed YAM Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah
Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz that the "Istiadat Menjunjung" of
the Royal Couple was ready to begin.
YAM Pengiran Lela Cheteria
Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz then informed HRH
Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah that the "Istiadat Menjunjung" was ready
to begin and sought HRH's consent to proceed.

HRH Paduka Seri Pg Anak Isteri Pg
Anak Sarah was accompanied to the Balai Singgahsana Indera Buana
by the spouses of Pehin Dato Laila Utama Awg Hj Isa and Pehin Dato
Seri Setia Hj Awg Abdul Aziz as well as spouses of state
dignitaries.
HRH the Crown Prince was
accompanied by Pehin Manteri Bini and Pehin Jawatan Bini, Pengiran
Perempuan, Dayang-Dayang carrying "Kaskol Langguai", seven Pahawai
Perempuan each carrying different royal regalias comprising of a "Puan",
"Tarian", "Kabok dan Panastan", "Kiap", "Chupu", "Pasigupan" and "Kaskol"
as well as "Dian 16" carried by 16 Dayang-Dayang.
YAM Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja
Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Hj Idris and YAM Pengiran Indera
Mahkota Pengiran Anak (Dr) Kemaluddin Al-Haj as well as other
Pengiran-Pengiran Cheterias conducted the "Istiadat Menjunjung"
for HRH the Crown Prince.
Leading the Royal Groom was an
Awang-Awang carrying "Dian Tunggal" walking in front of HRH the
Crown Prince accompanied by the Pengiran-Pengiran Cheterias
followed by "Perhiasan Empat Duli Yang Teramat Mulia", two Pahawai
Kanak-Kanak Lelaki, one carrying "Kiap" and the other carrying "Pasigupan",
while seven Pahawai Lelaki each carried "Puan", "Tarian", "Kabok
dan Panastan", "Kiap", "Chupu", "Pasigupan" and "Kaskol" as well
as "Dian 16" carried by 16 AwangAwang.
The doa was read by the State
Mufti, Pehin Dato Ustaz Hj Awg Abd Aziz after the Royal Couple's "bersanding".
Also present at the event were
cabinet ministers, Pengiran-Pengiran Peranakan, Pehin-Pehin
Manteri, Manteri-Manteri Hulubalang, ambassadors, high
commissioners, permanent secretaries, heads of departments and
senior government officials.
The "Gendang Jaga-Jaga", marking
the beginning of the "Istiadat Bedrjaga-Jaga" at the Istana Nurul
Iman, which commenced August 27, will meanwhile conclude today
with an official closing ceremony.
Meanwhile celebrations to mark
the glorious and historical event will continue with cultural
performances and the Royal Couple get-together events throughout
the nation. --
