Vietnamese Embassy Hoists Flag To Mark National Day

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Embassy of Vietnam yesterday morning witnessed the hoisting of its national flag to commemorate Vietnam's 59th National Day, which falls on September 2.

The ceremony took place at the embassy's compound and was attended by the Ambassador of Vietnam to Brunei Darussalam, Ha Hong Hai and other staff members of the embassy.

The flag raising was accompanied by the playing of Vietnam's national anthem.

The ceremony ended with light refreshments.

According to the Ambassador, Mr. Ha Hong Hai, other events will follow to celebrate Vietnam's 59th National Day, namely, a dinner reception hosted by the ambassador, a table tennis competition and a badminton match among the embassy staff. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
