18,000 visitors for Sony Expo 2003

The three-day Sony Expo 2003, which
ended last Sunday, was well received by members of the public judging
from the vast crowds flocking to the expo held at the Dar Takaful IBB
Building in the capital.
"I can say that the Sony Expo 2003
was a great success", said Mr Wong Kok Phing, General Manager of
Masros Electrical Company at a press conference held at the Riverview
Hotel in Gadong.
According to Mr Wong, the expo
received more than 18,000 visitors throughout the three-day event.
The Expo gave the public an
opportunity to buy and view the latest hi-tech audio and video
products sold at a reasonable price. Mr Wong also hoped that dealers
would set up Brunei's very own SONY solution centre for the
convenience of its customers to fully utilise SONY products.
At the function, Mr Wong also
announced the name of the lucky winners at the Sony Expo Quiz contest,
Sony Goodies Hunt and Sony Cyber-Shot Contest held last Sunday night
at the Expo's venue.
"Altogether, we received more than
16,000 entries for the contest," said Mr Wong.
The five winners in the Sony Expo
Quiz (in running order) are Rugayah Kiwin, Ak Mohammad Bakhtiar Bin Pg
Haji Tajuddin, Mohd Radzi bin Haji A Rahni, Hjh Lipah bte Lakim and Ak
Md Syafie Pg Ibrahim. Another 10 winners received consolation prizes.
There were eight lucky winners in the
Sony Goodies Hunt and another twenty winners for the Sony Cyber-Shot
photo contest.
The draw was conducted by the
director of Multitron Sdn. Bhd, Awg. Juraimi Hj. Masrah and General
Manager, Mr K.P. Wong.
The prize giving ceremony for all the
winners will be held at Sony Service Centre at Beribi Industry Complex
in Gadong on October 1.
