Begawan - Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna said
yesterday that the accomplishments of Girl Guides cannot be measured
in terms of money.
It is the sense of self-satisfaction
and dedication that encourage the members to undertake more social
activities ahead.
With each activity they will become
more confident, responsible, creative, socially skilful and able to
adapt to the ever-changing environment, Her Royal Highness added.
Those are some of the important
values, which will improve their well being and performance in formal
education, society or in contributing to the development of the
country.
Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah
Masna who is the president of the Girl Guides Association of Brunei,
made the sabda last Saturday night in conjunction with the
International Peace Day 2003.
She added that it is fundamentally
important to secure the world to be safe for everyone to live in.
Therefore, the common goals are
basically the promotion and maintenance of world peace.
Campers from Malaysia, Australia,
Cambodia, the United Kingdom and the host country, Brunei were
presented with Certificates of Participation.
The grand finale of the night's
function was the cutting of the birthday cake in honour of Her Royal
Highness's Birthday.
In supporting the vision and mission
of the World Association Of Girl Guides and Girls' Scouts are to
promote peace and goodwill. The country's Girl Guides Association will
also be donating a small token to World Association of Girl Guides and
Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) as it celebrates its 75th anniversary this
year.
Last Saturday night's function was
