Mitsubishi Golf Trophy 2003 Finals Played

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Mitsubishi Corporation Trophy 2003 golf tournament ended yesterday afternoon with the finals of the three-day golf tournament played at the Empire Hotel and Country Club in Jerudong.

Nearly 300 golfers took part, which, was divided, into ladies and men sections.

Ministers, deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, government dignitaries, diplomats and personnel from private companies were among those who played.

This was the 16th championship organised by the Pantai Mentiri Golf Club and Mitsubishi Motor Corporation in conjunction with the Brunei-Japan Exchange Programme 2003.

The Special Adviser to His Majesty at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Home Affairs, Pehin Isa and his wife presented the prizes.

The winner in the ladies overall-net was Rosni Haji Lamat; while Valentina Lim won the overall-gross.

The men overall-net title went to Richard Leong while the overall-gross was won by Seruji Haji Setia. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
