Audience to Lord Mayor of London

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday consented to receive in audience Mr Alderman David Lewis, the Lord Mayor of the City of London, at the Istana Nurul Iman. Present during the audience were Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Awang Hj Abu Bakar bin Hj Apong, Minister of Communications, and John Saville, High Commissioner of Great Britain to Brunei Darussalam. The Lord Mayor and the Lady Mayoress were in Brunei since late Saturday evening on an official visit and left yesterday evening for Singapore.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
