For the first time ever, Baiduri Bank Group held a grand Hari Raya Dinner Concert for its customers and business associates at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre last night.

More than 1,200 guests attended the glittery event and were treated to a special appearance by international stars Mohd Saiful Azam Mohamed Yusoff or popularly known as Saiful Apek from Malaysia and the gorgeous Agnes Monica from Indonesia as well as local artistes and of course the much-anticipated performances by Baiduri staff itself.

Present as the guest of honour was HRH Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak Hajah Zariah, who presented donations to four needy families, one from each district which were received by the Director of Community Development at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Datin Hjh Adina bte Othman on behalf of the families.

HRH Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak Hajah Zariah then presented Baiduri Bank Group's pledge to the 'Nod Initiative' which is a non-profit organisation comprising of five UBD undergraduates who have started the initiative of cleaning up Kampong Ayer towards ensuring the survival of the world-famous water village.

Also present were Prince Abdul Qawi and his siblings as well as other members of the royal family.

The guest of honour then received tokens of appreciation from three organisations that have significantly benefitted from Baiduri Bank Group's charity programmes, namely - The Child Development Centre, S.M.A.R.T.E.R Brunei and Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah.

The General Manager of Baiduri Bank, Mr Pierre Imhof in his speech expressed his appreciation to the guests for their support during the past year and outlined the major progresses and achievements of the Baiduri Bank Group during that same period.

It was highlighted that during the year, more than $100,000 worth of donations were made to several organisations and this was made possible through noteworthy and generous contributions from HRH Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak Hajah Zariah, proceeds from the Annual Baiduri Masters Charity Golf and from the Bank's funds.

The concert took on the theme of Kampong Ayer, where the sets and background created an atmosphere of the water village.

Distinguished guests were entertained to a comical skit by Malaysian star Saiful Apek and were captivated by the energetic performance of Agnes Monica.

The night was indeed a pleasurable event enjoyed by the guests and it was a chance for them to get together and foster closer ties among them, with one bottomline reverberating at the end of the night - Baiduri Bank with a 'bang!'.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
