Jag Therapy Relocates To Jalan
Muara
By Ben Ng
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Jag Therapy reopened its business door yesterday at
a new location where it will continue to emphasize on the idea that
"prevention is better than cure".

Be it yoga,
vegetarian cooking or treatment, the clinic is always filled
with the company of neighbors, friends and patients, who
have come to be known as "the Jag family".
Jag Therapy Manager Sree
Latha Jagadish said, "We had to move because we needed a new
license to operate, as ordered by the Municipal Department.
"So, the choice was either
to shift to a shop house or look for another house."
Latha,
who is busy raising a baby of her own, felt that conditions
of a shop house would not be a suitable environment to raise
a child, especially |

with the constant stream
of smokers that would normally frequent the area.
Upon the retirement of
Dr KRI Jagadish - Latha's father - from active
government service in 1995, Jag Therapy moved to Jalan
Kebangsaan Lama, where they have spent over a decade
treating ailments, from back pains to major illnesses.

Yesterday marked the first day of
operations at its present location in Jalan Muara.
"We had two yoga sessions this
morning, and will have another one this evening," Latha said of the
unique hatha yoga; which is a combination of Eastern and Western
disciplines.
A patient is treated through a
combination of Western aromatherapy, Japanese shiatsu, herbology,
Chinese acupressure, and Indian yoga and nutrition, with emphasis on
prevention.
Jag Therapy is a culmination of 30
years of healing and helping It has its roots in a small
government-issued flat in Jalan Melabau, where the doctor and his
wife helped everyone that came through the door.
It was here that yoga was first
introduced in the country, and made popular long before the art
became fashionable.
The concept of holistic healing was
also introduced to the people, and that was where the name, "Jag '
Therapy", was coined.
"In the long run, we hope to
increase the understanding of all aspects of alternative medicine,
and to provide a wide choice in healthcare," said Latha. "We want to
bring awareness on the natural approach to proper health through
diet, exercise, and in general, the management of life itself, while
emphasizing, on 'prevention is better than cure'"
