20 Local Companies To Join China
Asean EXPO 2008

Begawan - Some 20 local companies have confirmed that they
will be taking part in the upcoming China Asean EXPO 2008 to be held
in Nanning from October 22 to October 25, 2008.

Brunei
Darussalam's exhibitors will have two pavilions to showcase
their unique products to attract investment and promote
tourism — (1) "Cities of Charm" and (2) Commodities & Trade.
Under the "Commodities &
Trade" pavilion, Brunei exhibitors will be divided into
different sections such as food and beverages, handicraft
and manufacturing, as well as ICT.
According to the Ministry
of Industry & Primary Resources, as of October I, a total of
seven companies have confirmed their participating in the
food and beverages, handicraft and manufacturing sector.
They are Hasmit Shield Roofing Manufacturing, Superwater
Marketing, |

Sabli Food Industries,
Ridah Handicraft and Asians Taste, Sahamada Corporation,
Marimin Sdn Bhd and Mahkota Crystal SDN BHD.
Meanwhile, the 13
agencies which will be taking part in the ICT sector are
Authority for Info-Communications Technology Industry of
Brunei Darussalam, CfBT Education Services, Alif
Technologies, Linknet Solutions Cyberunal e-Service,
iCentre, Brukiosk communication, Indah Sejahtera
Development and Service John Harith Computer, Mimit
Technology, the Rumbian Nation, Westegrets Technologies
and Service and HAD Technologies. |
Some 12 officials from the Ministry
of Industry & Primary Resources, Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade
and Brunei Economic Development Board will be accompanying the local
exhibitors in Nanning.
Twenty-five representatives from
various associations and industries have also informed the Ministry
of Industry & Primary Resources that they will be visiting the China
Mean EXPO 2008.
At the "Cities of Charm" pavilion,
Brunei will be featuring its popular destination for tourists and
promoting the unique culture of Brunei's people.
Since 2004, the China Asean Expo
has been a great success bridging investments between Asean member
countries with China. Last year, Brunei was the country of honor of
the 4th CAEXPO and the local exhibitors have since received an
encouraging response from the Chinese market. --
