Bandar Seri Begawan - Four contracts were inked between the Department of Electrical Services (DES) and three companies - SEC Mashibah Sdn Bhd, ESC Engineering Sdn Bhd, Goo Brothers Electrical Engineering Sdn Bhd and Goo Brothers Electrical Engineering Electrical Sdn Bhd - during a ceremony at DES Headquarters in Berakas yesterday.

One of the contracts was for the supply and installation of street lighting from Kg Batang Mitus to Kg Bebuloh and Limau Manis Roundabout by SEC Mashibah. This project is expected to be completed by May 2009.

The Managing Director of SEC Mashibah, Tan Tow, signed the contact on behalf of the company, while DES was represented by its director, Hj Osman bin Hj Tamin.

Another project is the provision and installation of high voltage equipment, as well as the building of a 11kV small station for the Language & Literature Bureau Building by ESC Engineering. This project, which will run for eight months, should be

completed by July 2009.

At the signing ceremony, ESC Engineering was represented by its director, Hjh Rukiah binti Hj Lamit, while DES was represented by its acting deputy director, Hj Umar bin Hj Mohd Tahir

Meanwhile, Goo Brothers Electrical Engineering signed a contract for the supply and installation of street lighting at Jalan Kompleks Sukan Mumong in Kuala Belait. This project is expected to be completed by February 2009.

Signing on behalf of the company was Goo Han Leong, while DES was represented by its acting deputy director.

Another contract was signed by Goo Brothers Electrical Engineering Electrical for the supply, installation and commissioning of 415V/11kV network for some blocks at Brunei Garrison J16 in Seria, which is being financed by the Ministry of Defence. This project is expected to be completed by July 2009.
