Bruneians At Raya Open House In Labuan

Labuan - Relatives and friends from Brunei were among the thousands who flocked to the Hari Raya open-house hosted by a member of parliament cum the Head of UMNO Labuan, Dato 1-1j Suhaili Hj Abd Rahman, for people in the Federal Territory on Sunday.

Scores of relatives took the one hour and 15 minutes ferry ride to the island for the annual gathering which was held at the sports hall in Labuan.

The day-long open house was aimed at fostering closer ties among Muslims as well as exchanging Hari Raya greetings.

Besides the sumptuous food and drinks served at the feast, the guests at the open house were also entertained by singing performances of evergreen Hari Raya songs. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
