By Rol Ezam & Malai FadleyRizal

Bandar Seri Begawan - A Singaporean man was fined B$300 after he admitted - to committing an Immigration offence before the Bandar Magistrate's court yesterday.

Satiyan Sankaran Kunjan, 52, came to Brunei to visit a relative sometime in February and had extended his social visit pass from time to time.

On September 18, he left the country through the Kuala Lurah Control Post to get a fresh visit pass. However, he did not produce his passport for departure clearance that day.

Upon re-entering the country ten minutes later, he produced his passport to the Immigration officer at the Kuala Lurah Post and was arrested when the personnel found out that the defendant had left the country illegally.
