Former Army Personnel Hold Raya Gathering

Bandar Seri Begawan - Tutong District ex-army personnel association held a Hari Raya gathering at Dewan Seri Kenangan, Kompleks Dewan Kemasyarakatan Tutong.

The ceremony started with the recital of "Surah Al-Fatihah" followed by a welcoming speech by the ceremony' chairman, Capt (R) Hj Othman bin Lahab.

In his speech, he said that among the objectives of the Raya gathering were to give an opportunity to the ex-army personnel to mingle, rekindle their friendships as well as recall the fond memories of being in the army.

Some of the ex-army personnel also showed their talent by singing a karaoke song. There was also a lucky draw. The gathering was also attended by the ex-army personnel's family members. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
