World Chinese Mini Story Seminar

Begawan - The World Chinese Mini Story Seminar was yesterday
launched at the Riverview Hotel, bringing together 130 professors and
writers who will exchange ideas and discuss the existing issues
related to it.
Present to launch the event was
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major
General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Hj Awang Mohammad bin Hj Daud.
"The aim of the seminar is to bridge
the world's nations with Brunei Darussalam," said Sng Teck Ann, the
chairman of the organising committee of the seminar, in his welcoming
address.
"Brunei Darussalam is an ancient and
historical country. Brunei and China have had a history of commerce
and communication for over a thousand years. It is therefore
significant for us to hold this seminar in Brunei Darussalam," he
added.
"Brunei Darussalam is the paradise
for language learning. The Malay language, English language and
Chinese language are the three major languages used in Brunei
