UK Journalists On Raya Visit To Brunei

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Empire Hotel & Country Club hosted accommodation for two journalists - Jonathan Hart and John Carter - from the United Kingdom who were in the Sultanate from October 25 to 26 to.experience'the Hari Raya celebrations.

The duo was accompanied by Sandra Bloodworth, Area Manager of Royal Brunei Airlines in UK.

With over 30 years of travel writing experience, Jonathan Hart is one of the travel industry's most established writers.

Currently focuses on business travel, Jonathan has varying experience writing articles for national and regional newspapers and consumer publications. He regularly contributes to well known business travel media including Business Travel World, Business Travel, Meetings and Incentive Travel, Selling Long Haul and The Times.

John Carter is currently working on a series of travel programmes for Independent Radio, on non-travel projects for BBC Radio 4, and writing travel articles for magazines and newspapers.

The highlight of their trip to Brunei was a visit to the Palace to pay respects to His Majesty and members of the Royal Family. While in Brunei, they also enjoyed a tour of Kg Ayer and the mangroves to sight the proboscis monkeys as well as a full tour of the Empire Hotel. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
