NDP Joins Istana Greeters

Bandar Seri Begawan - People from all walks of life came in droves since the second day of Hari Raya to extend festivity greetings to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and members of the Royal Family during the three-day open house at the Istana Nurul Iman that ended yesterday.

Among those who delivered their Selamat Hari Raya greetings were 100 members of the National Development Party (NDP), led by its 84 year-old president, Yasin Affandy.

Other officials included deputy president Mahmud Morshidi Othman, secretary general Hj Aminorashid Hj Ghazali, vice presidents and members of the executive council.

Yasin noted the large number of people who thronged the palace to greet His Majesty and other members of the Royal Family.

Deputy president Mahmud Morshidi said "it is an honour to greet His Majesty and members of the Royal Family and I enjoy the festivities," he said. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
