Locals Called To Take Part In Malaysia Agriculture Show

Bandar Seri Begawan - Local entrepreneurs are encouraged to take part in the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture andAgro Tourism Show (MAHA) 2006, which will be held at the Malaysia AgroExposition Park in Serdang, Selangor from November 21 to 26.

The international event aims to provide its participants with an opportunity to meet other sellers, buyers, technological inventors and service suppliers, the Malaysian Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Ministry Parliamentary Secretary Datuk Rohani Abd,Karim was quoted by Bernama as saying recently.

So far, 10 countries - China, Australia, India, New Zealand, Canada, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Taiwan and Indonesia - have confirmed their participation with a total of 149 booths.

Another 787 booths will also be set up by the ministry's agencies, state governments, private companies and entrepreneurs to exhibit their products and latest technologies.

Maha is going to highlight on certain aspects of tourism at the bazaar and there will also be an exhibition of agricultural products.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
