Chef Ang Gives Chinese Cooking, Baking Lessons

Bandar Seri Begawan - CHEF Steven Ang, a veteran chef of 30 years, is offering cooking classes at Hotmart Kiulap, targeting Muslim food lovers who are interested in Chinese cooking.

He assured that studentts who complete the course will be able to prepare dishes for parties and other occasions.

His classes cover essential techniques of Asian cuisine and also cake decorating. With experience in cooking Oriental food in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Thailand and Singapore. Chef Ana has been conducting cooking classes in Brunei for over ten years and he also owns a training school in Sarawak.

He offers classes on the culinary art of Hong Kong dimsums where students can learn to make traditional quick and easy fillings and learn to work with many different wrapping styles.

Among the dishes on the menu are Shrimp Shumai, Fish Shumai, Wontons, Crispy Vegetable Dumplings and Vietnamese Spring Rolls.

For Chinese-style cooking, Chef Ang teaches his students to prepare Lemon Chicken, Yam Basket, Butter Chicken, Mango Chicken, Sarawak tJmai and Shark Fin Soup and many other Chinese dishes.

They can learn basic baking skills by making Classic Buttercake, Chocolate Buttercake and others during the cake decorating lessons. Other side courses include making moon cakes and kueh lapis Sarawak. All the ingredients used are halal. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
