Family Joy In Brunei

Begawan – The first day of Syawal is a public holiday for the
country's civil servants and it also paves the way for the Hari Raya
Aidil Fitri for Muslims to pay visits to the home of their parents.
The public holiday also provides an
opportunity to visit close relatives and exchanged Hari Raya
greetings.
Some of them made a long journey home
just to pay respect to their parents.
Radio Television Brunei (RTB) crew
visited a house in Mukim Sungai Kedayan where family members and
closes friends came together in celebrating Hari Raya Aidil Fitri.
They were served with food and drinks
and other delicacies.
Envelopes containing money were also
distributed to children during this festivity.
RTB Crew also visited the home of the
Penghulu of Mukim Peramu. He and members of his family were seen here
receiving close relatives and residents in Mukim and nearby villages.

Awang Haji Ismit bin Haji Naim told RTB about his experience in
running the administration of his Mukim.
He faces a big task in carrying out
his responsibilities especially in handling the affairs of the needy
people such as orphans and widows. --
