RBAF Flourishes In Asean Military Shooting Contest

Bandar Seri Begawan - Eleven Royal Brunei Armed Forces personnel, who participated in the Asean plus China, Japan and Korea (10+3) Armed Forces Military Shooting Competition in Beijing, China, did the country proud when they snatched the third place in the rifle teams' category.

Two of the personnel also outscored some 30 marksmen from 13 countries to gain two of the top eight positions in the individuals' category, with Corporal 8756 Razali bin Tagal in second place and Compatriot Lance Corporal 143 05 Mohd Johaidin bin Mohd Ariffin in seventh place.

In the rifle teams' category, RBAF emerged in third place, behind Singapore and Malaysia. The 11 personnel returned home yesterday evening. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
