By Hanni ABD

Bandar Seri Begawan - In view of the festive season, a police roadblock was conducted at the Lumut bypass area on Saturday from midnight until 2am.

More than five police personnel from Sungai Liang Police Station worked during the wee hours of the morning in search of crime-related activities or traffic offences, which include illegal modification of vehicles, driving on expired road tax and insurance and driving without valid licences.

All vehicles were stopped and police also monitored items inside vehicles. The straight and spacious Lumut bypass is known to be track area for car racing. It is understood that police constantly monitor the area.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
