Man dies in Tutong accident

A 68-year-old local man died in an accident at Km50 at the Tutong-Jerudong Highway near the Highway Junction to Penanjong Camp at about 7pm on Saturday night. The man was with his wife when his vehicle collided with another vehicle driven by another local woman in her 30's, Tutong Police said.

According to Tutong Hospital, the victim succumbed to head and abdominal injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, in a 4pm accident yesterday at the Menglait area (pica bove) involving a couple on a motorcycle and a vehicle, said to be a SUV. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The incident caused a major traffic jam in the Menglait area.
