ACB Gives Talk On Gifts And Bribes

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Anti Corruption Bureau yesterday gave a talk on ethics and moral values to the staff of 24/7 Assist, a roadside service for Brunei motorists.

ACB Senior Special Investigator, Salamat bin Liman, accompanied by Senior Special Investigator, Ahmad Hj Abdul Kahar, focused on the misuse of power for personal benefits and on corruption or "rasuah".

He explained the difference and the meaning of gift and bribe and told the audience to uphold their integrity and moral values.

SSI Salamat said it is the duty of every public officer to provide the best quality service to the public. ACB would not hesitate to take action against those who may corruptly solicit or receive bribe or rewards from members of the public sectors, he said. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
