TelBru Holds Religious Ceremonies

Bandar Seri Begawan - Telekom Brunei Bhd (TeIBru) recently held the Tedarus, a Tahlil ceremony, Maghrib, Isya and Tarawikh prayers, and the breaking of the fast in Berakas.

Among those present were Chairman Board of Director of TelBru, Dato Paduka Awg. Haji Othman bin Hj Ya'akub, members of the Board of Directors and senior TelBru officers.

The ceremonies conducted by committee members of Surau Wakaf Telekom aimed to glorify the holy fasting month of Ramadhan, said Corporate Relation Officer Adri Hj Muhd Arshad

Another welfare activity was cleaning the Muslim cemetery in Kampung Serusop last month. The "Khatam" ceremony marked the end of Tedarus for 23 officials and staffs of TelBru that was being held since the early month of Ramadhan. Meanwhile, the Tahlil ceremony was specially held for the staffs of TelBRU with family members who had passed away.

The mass Maghrib, Isya and Tarawikh prayers were led by Imam Awg. Haji Asmat bin Haji Tuah, the Imam of Kampung Limau Manis mosque. He also led the reading of Khatam Al-Quran and a "Doa".  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
