Brunei-Muara Orphans Funds Gets Boost

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei Muara District Orphan Fund received financial contributions from the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, BSB and a personal donation at the Brunei Muara District's Office, yesterday. On behalf of the fund, Dato Paduka Hj Md Yussop bin Bakar, the Brunei Muara district officer, received the $2,000 donation from the association.

Representing the Chinese business association in the ceremony were Francis Lee Chung Keng, head of committee welfare, Kuan Kim Jok, director of finance and Edward K.H Tan, head of commercial.

A separate personal donation of $1,000 from Kuan Kim Jok, the association's director of finance, was handed over to the district officer. Hj Jamain bin Momin, the assistant Brunei Muara district officer, also attended. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
