Two Donors Help Rimba Fire Victim

Bandar Seri Begawan - Muhammad Suffian bin Hj Serudin, the owner of a house in Kg Rimba gutted by fire on Friday afternoon, received two separate donations totalling $2100 from an anonymous .donor at the Brunei Muara district office, yesterday morning.

The $2000 donation was handed over by a giver who wants to remain anonymous to Dato Paduka Hj Md Yussop nin Bakar, the Brunei Muara district officer, who presented the contribution to Muhammad Suffian bin Hj Serudin.

A $100 personal donation from Hj Sasi bin Hj Ahmad, STKRJ Kg Rimba village head, was also given to the fire victim.

Awg Hj Jamain bin Momin, assistant Brunei Muara district officer, also attended.

Dato Paduka Hj Md Yussop bin Bakar thanked the donors for their generosity in helping to ease the burden of the fire victim especially with the Hari Raya celebrations just a few days away.

Muhammad Suffian bin Hj Serudin thanked the anonymous donor and the head of village for STKRJ Kg Rinlba for their contributions.

Meanwhile, the 7-year-old boy who came out of the gutted house by himself is safe and sound after a check-up at the RIPAS Hospital, said the house owner, a soldier in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
